'Q xii Jia, yy 1- '-Sr. if f , PM ' iff' Miss Bertha Johnson T with 23 members and with Mrs. Helen Tankard Nixon as advisor, Nancy Smith as President, Wilma Patrick as Vice-President, Pat Matthews as Secre- tary, Martha Hart as Treasurer, and Autry Tripp as Parliamentarian and Historian. The club was named in honor of one of Grifton's most beloved teachers, Miss Bertha Johnson. The following goals were established: 1. To help the student measure his own ability and interests in relation to the opportunities and responsibilities in teaching. 2. To help guide only high quality individuals into the profession, aid them in the develop- ment of ideas, acquaint them with the im- portance of good schools, assist them in finding their own fields of interest, and fol- low them with interest through the college of their choice into a career of teaching.
