Our first business ventures turned out to be successes - theplay, OFF THE TRACK, magazine sale and Womanless Wedding. A Beta Club was established in our school. Many of the juniors were charter members. The theme for our Junior- Senior was Southern Plantation. We thought the gym looked like a work of art. Again at gradua- tion Emily Nelson and Wilma Patrick were our marshals. In August 1958 we officially became the Senior Class oi Grifton High School. I2 3 K

When spring came around and baseball gloves came out Allan Stokes, Milton Adams and Larry Benson filled them. Looking ahead into the future and seeing a great need for money we sold iris bulbs. Wilma Patrick and Emily Nelson were our marshals. Thus an eventful year under the guidance of Mrs. Bradley ended. Our summer vacation went by quickly and at last we were jolly juniors. Again we had the capable guidance of Mrs. Bradley and as class officers, Sallie, President, Emily, Sec- retary, Vice President, David, Treasurer, Larrygand Report- er,Wilma. I l
