LAST WILL AND TESTAMENT We, the Senior Class of 1953, with tears in our eyes and cherished memories of our last year in Griffon High, leave this, our last will and testament. Item I: To the Junior Class we leave our places as dignified seniors with the hope that you will enjoy your Senior Year as much as we have. Item II: To the Sophomore Class we assign the duty of being hosts at the ' 54 Junior -Senior Prom . Item III: To the Freshmen Class we leave our sincere good wishes and hopes for your success. Item IV: To our school Faculty we leave our deepest appreciation and fondest regards. We will them all the patience they will surely need while trying to teach the future seniors. Item V: Our individual bequests are as follows: I, Will Rogers Harris, leave my way with the women to Bill Burroughs. I, Rufus Craft, leave my ability to sit in class and absorb nothing to Bernard McLawhorn. I, Hilda Jones, leave my manner? to Bill Jackson in hopes that he will use some of it during school. I, Mattie Jones, leave my witty ways to Carolyn Davis. I, Peggy Abbott, will my bobby-pins to EUie Jane Avery. I, Jean Daugherty, leave my ability to blush to Dawn Smith. I, Norine (Snell) Jackson, leave my ability to get married to Doris Manning. I, Jesse Stancill, leave my comic books to anyone who likes to read them. I, Kenneth Branch, will my weight to Jack Starkey. I, Louise Corey, leave my ability to play basketball to Joyce Dennis. I, John Robert Lewis, will my executive ability to Frederick Rhodes. I, Lillian Gay Dixon, leave my sarcastic ways to Pat Stokes. I, Mary Dawson, will my voice to Phyllis Jackson, hoping she will be making records with some top band soon. I, Hilda Buck, leave my left over admirers to Geraldine Adams. I, J.R. Hooten, will my manly physique to Hamlin Hoffman. I, Preston Miller, will my ability to sleep in class to Ronald McGlohon in hopes that he will use it and give the teachers a rest. I, Mildred Sellars, leave my capabilities to Nell McGlohon. I, Shirley Spikes, leave my acting ability to Colleen Braxton. I, Clyde Adams, leave my talent for wild driving to Bobby Cole and hope he is as lucky as I have been. I, Clarice Edwards, will my temper to Argent Tucker. I, Louise Cannon, leave my ability to go steady to Phyllis Haddock. I, Beulah Burroughs, leave my quietness to Bette McCotter hoping she will take advantage of it. I, Gilbert Whaley, will my good looks to Oswald Lewis hoping he will do as well as I have .
