These students have done a gre at service four our faculty in running the projectors and sound equipment. They have learned skills from their sponsor Mr. Winkelpleck. El Club Los Gringos Eisleben, and Susan Marani cheer our fighting Indians toward victory. Miss Partington is sponsor. Science Club Audio-Vi sual r Los Gringos brings together students who are interested in the Spanish language and culture. The band goes on many field trips during the year to perform in various places. Sometimes individ- ual band members try to win individual ribbons or group ribbons. The band, in general, is a fine group, proven by the number of ribbons it has won. keep up the school spirit by playing at all of our M ath games. ' The newly formed Math Club was started at the beginning of second semes- ter. Since then it has taken many field trips sched- uled by the sponsors, Mrs. Kroll and Mr. Young , who hope that the idea of a Math Club will continue at Griffiths for many years. 18

ICAL T LE Half-Pint Windom Rides West, a humorous Melodrama, takes place in the Old West. The eighth grade play- featured an all-girl cast, except for Tim Welch as Half- Pint Windom. A Certain just Man, another eighth grade performance, was a fantasy concerning a man's admission to heaven. Kevin McGrath starred in the title role. 0 I i The ninth grade drama class presented Shakespeare's famous play, A Midsummer Night's Drean1, with Bill I-Iardison, Nancy Eisleben, Karen Krogstad, Steve I-Iryniewicki fsubstitute for Dennis Chernekoffj, Carole Schutt, and Larry Clifton in leading roles. 20
