This is her first year of counseling, but she has been teaching for 18 yers. She taught for 13 years, 10 of which were in East Whittier District, and she substituted for five years. Mrs. Geldner graduated from Pomona Col- lege where she earned her AB in history and later got her MS in administration at Cal State, Fullerton. 24 '25 '26 2 F X ffl Mr. Harold Henriksen, eighth grade counselor. 5 I7 18 l9 2' Mrs. jo Markham, ninth grade counselor. School counselors have many dut i e s and responsibilities, some of which are to counsel with individual students and to interpret school r ule s . To have current information on offerings of college admission requirements and to keep ad- ,equate records on all students are the obligations which our counselors must serve. Eighth and ninth grade counselors rotate classes every two years, keeping students' rec- ords While the seventh grade counselor takes the responsi- bilities of the incoming seventh grade students each year.
