The time has arrived for a parting of the ways; for the graduates to start on their in- dividual paths toward fulfillments of their own goals. All education experiences you parti- cipated in, either curricular or extra-curricular, were designed to assist your progress along this path. As you encounter difficulties you would be well reminded to weigh all evidence before you form an opinion regarding any one thing or one individual. Remember to set realistic goals, to meet all problems directly, and keep us informed or your progress. Congratulations. 12

THESE GUIDE SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL PRINCIPAL ASSISTANT PRINCIPAL Just as the success of all organiza- tions is based upon the quality of their leaders, so the successful operation of Griffith Institute Senior High School as an educational enterprise is largely dependent on our princi- pal, Mr. William Devitt, and our assistant principal, Mr. Richard Swartz. As administrators confront- ing the multitudinous problems of today's world, they encourage the development of self-discipline on the part of the student body, under the guidance of the faculty. Mr. Devitt and Mr. Swartz are actively knowl- edgeable concerning the total opera- tion of the school ond all its activi- ties, and are ever willing to be of service to both students and faculty. Their example, encouragement, and leadership are an inspiration. I'm eighteen today. (a lew years behind me and a few ahead); When I look back I see it; When I look forward I can't. Won't you help me tomorrow? (It's as if I'm unconscious of who I am and where the door will open to me). Ah, it's coming clearer, Yet I see not much. This key to my diary. (yet to be filled with events on ahead, and questions in my head to be answered); Shall I do or not do? Is it right or maybe wrong? Take life or let live? Construct or Destruet? Love or hate? Where do I turn or hide from all this? Please, help me understand. Irene Spencer 13
