Education is a never ending process. It is our sincere hope that, after you leave the halls of G.I., you may ever maintain an open mind toward new ideas, new situations, and new problems as you meet them along life's way. May our judgement and decisions follow the consideration of collected facts, the thoughtful weighing of evidence, and regard for the rights and welfare of your fellow men. Your present interest in graduation and the future leoves little time to look bock and contemplate the fine education you have received at G.l. What you have learned takes many paths. Perhaps the most valuable of all education is the ability to make yourself do the thing you have to do when it ought to be done, whether you like it or not. That is the kind of education that comes from inside us and very little from books. It is some- thing that we acquire from the example of good men and apply to our own actions as occasion arises. We are happy for you and your future successes, but we are also a little sod. You have been with us for ashorttime, a portion of your life, and we have come to know you a little. We have shared many experiences de- signed to make your graduation more meaning- ful, and hope that life's plan for you will be more fruitful because of us. The world you face is not an easy one to understand, but the forces that control it will accept you, if you speak loudly enough. Remember to smile now and then, and come back to see us. IN MEMORY The class of 1967 is honored to dedicate this page to the memory of Mr. Charles Knapp. The job of District Principal is not an easy one. It is necessary to please the public and still run the school harmoniously. Upon Mr. Knapp's shoulders lay the responsibility of coordinating educational needs through the Board of Education, planning and supervising new and existing school buildings, acting as a target for all public opinion, and demonstrating primary authority in final decisions. Mr. Knapp had a difficult job, but he handled every situation with the utmost tact and wisdom. For this reason he will remain in our memories of high school. 6
