Mr. Gonzalez returns to thank the Senior class for dedicating the Griffonell to him. He is shown here speaking as our guest at a recent class meeting. We the Senior class also wish to express our thanks to you. Miss O'Toole and Mr. Brown, for your ceaseless efforts without which we would never have been able to suc- ceed. So to you we issue a sincere thanks. Miss Anne O'Toole While we are expressing our gratitude to those who have helped us most, it is only fitting to mention you — Our Parents — without whom none of us would be in a position to speak now. About seventeen years ago you became our first teachers, and laid the groundwork for everything we have accomplished since. You followed us through elementary school, and were always around to fix torn knees and broken hearts. When we entered the Junior High you were still standing at the sidelines. Things must have seemed pretty hopeless when we en- tered high school with the idea that we knew more than any adult. Some of us, however, are beginning to re- alize how much parents can learn in nearly four years. Of course you have been watching us grow up and silently let us think we were way ahead of you from the beginning Your understanding must have required terrific patience. In addition, you have given us much visible support. You have supplied goods for candy and baked goods sales by mass production. You have pro- Mr. Alfred Brown vided a market for our basketball pencils, Springville pins, stationery, play tickets, Christmas cards, and maga- zines. You have patronized our sports activities, theatri- cal productions and concerts, chaperoned our dances, and allowed us to have parties and gatherings in your homes. Certainly all of us have known thankful relief when you have repeatedly helped us out of the traditional financial rut familiar to all teens. You've always been able to solve almost every problem because you cer- tainly know us better than any teacher. Even when our problems couldn't be solved, you helped us to ac- cept disappointments intelligently. And now that we are about to face life alone for the first time, we — the Senior Class of 1961 — would like you to hear our sentiments. We sincerely think you've helped us most and we love you for it. May God give you every blessing you deserve.
