F.N.A. The Griffith Chapter of the Future Nurse ' s Club is in its third year at Griffith High School. The purpose of the club is to encourage aspiring young women to seek a career in the field of nursing. To attain this goal the club visits hospital, nursing homes, and other institutions connected with the nursing profession. The money earned is used to finance scholarships for members of the club who are going into nurse ' s training. Due to a scarcity of teachers today, the teacher ' s career is encouraged by the Future Teachers of Ameri- ca. To financially aid students going into the teaching field, the club awards scholarships to graduating sen- iors in the organization, and is now working on a larger scholarship fund sponsored by many local organizations and industries. The club earns most of its funds by the sale of ice cream at noon hour and at dances. Heading the F.T.A. are Connie Smith, vice-president; Joan Fitzpat- rick, secretary; Kathie Zimmerman, treasurer; Vicki Perotti, presi- dent; Mr. Dalton, sponsor.
