Surrounding King Joe Flynn and Queen Joan Fitzpatrick are court members Ed Siurek, John Moats, Vir- ginia Dyer, and Sharon Bohling. STANDING behind the king and queen are Sandi Lucas and Ron Marion, the 1960 royal couple. JUNIORS PRESENT “BLUE HAWAII” On the evening of May 20, the couples at the 1961 Junior-Senior Prom danced to the music of the Vic Faraci Orchestra. Providing the setting were decorations corresponding to the theme Blue Hawaii. The crowning of the 1961 King and Queen, Joe Flynn and Joan Fitzpatrick, by the 1960 Royalty Sandi Lucas and Ron Marion, was the highlight of the evening. At the 1961 prom Joe Flynn and Joan Fitzpatrick take the spotlight as king and queen.

TALENT SHOW Cheryl Hendrickson, junior, captured first place with a reading en- titled Yellow. The fourth annual Student Council Talent Show was presented on February 7. The eleven acts included in- strumentals, dancers, singers, and dramatic readings. Judges for these entries were Father Zollinger, Dr. Schilling, and Reverend Littrel. First place prize was won by Cheryl Flendrickson for a dramatic reading; Margaret Ryckman and Pam Collet received second place for a singing duet; and Pat Larson was awarded third place for her singing. The winners received trophies inscribed with their names. Other participants were Jim Rice, Gary Wools, Dave Blanchard, and Larry Mourfield; Judy Bednarsky; Kathy Zimmerman; Judy Fatter,- Steve Bistrow,- Nancy Goffredo, Fawn Bifoss, and LuVada Coffin g,- Cheryl Johnston; and Susan Tom and Mary Ann Larsen. Dan Jordan served as master of ceremonies. The junior duet of Pam Collet and Margaret Ryckman took second prize, singing Sentimental Journey and Dancing David, com- posed by Margaret. 12 Senior Pat Larson won third place with her rendition of Smoke Gets In Your Eyes.
