Class Prophecy of 1947 By Marilyn Fisher The future I cannot foretell, I haven ' t a crystal ball, But I did consult a wishing well And this, 1 swear, 1 saw. A best seller published by Frances Greene, Horvath married to wile number sixteen Her name is Merna and their baby ' s a dear, Walker ' s a bachelor, a woman-hater, I fear. June Porter has patented her cute pug nose, Spud Conner is selling ladies hose, Alice and Juanita have been playing the nags, Meyers is having her face lifted due to the sags. A doctor is Sury, passing out pills, Some lucky, lucky girl married Buck Wills, Welch is a lady wrestler quite strong, Young set up housekeeping fa r away in Hong-Kong. Homer writes jokes; Elman ' s her inspiration, Ribordy ' s still looking lor a ncn-wcrking occupation, Zigterman s superintendent at old G. H. S. Under his supervision, kids get plenty of rest. Vestal has turned down Hollywood bids. Jack Coffman keeps busy raising cows and kids, T he government caught Dale counterfeiting Now in Alcatraz he is sitting. Football heroes are Moffett and Dills, Bannon does all his traveling on stilts Cause Patty has grown two foot every year, Mona ' s still charming all far and near. Governors of Georgia are Parsons and Hill, Alberta went to heaven as all good girls will, McFarland and Nelson are bootleggers bold, Terpstra ' s lost all his hair, so I ' m told. A baker is Massa, just loaded with dough, Cox married Irma as all of us know, Klus teaches shorthand, she swiped Wright ' s job, Mandernach finally caught up with Bob. Bill Johnsen and VonProoyen got into a fight; Now Bill ' s six foot under, first grave to the right, Wahl sells rocking horses at the five and ten, Ellis and Nasby both married men. Govert ' s in Washington, a smart diplomat, Farmer got lost, don ' t know where she’s at, Flores and Kudrock are happily wed. For years, Ervy ' s reumatiz has kept him in bed. Long is a dentist, a good one, too; Her very first patient was Jed Donohue When she was all finished, he went out feet first And his old pal Koedyker was driving the hearse. Jelleff ' s a crooner, bobby soxers adore, And in Congress, Steve Tokar always has the floor, Four little cheerleaders Jeanne Schaffer has brought up, An odor-less liquor Norma Oman has thought up. Lowery is knitting her tenth pair of booties, Norton is always surrounded by cuties, Battistini received his diploma at last; His days in Modern Problems are finally past. Wolotka is checker champion of the entire U. S. A., Kornman joined the Army, so no taxes he’d have to pay, Yoder ' s making lots of money since she got out of school She took special lessons, now she always wins at pool. Chizmar is sporting a halo this season, Shirley Yates ' s driving is the obvious reason; She got 99 years from the judge, Jim Trost, While Donna haunts houses as a guaranteed ghost Page 18

Brading and Peters are old maids today, Hartwig’s a dress designer, doing o. k., Betty Johnson ' s a teacher satisfied with her lot, Betty Ross fooled around with a gun and got shot. For a long time, Cliff Postema’s been a wealthy mortician, And Doan is a freak in a sideshow exhibition, Frances Johnson is a mode! for Pepsodent Tooth Paste, Wirth is a garbage man collecting people ' s waste. On a flying trapeze Dutton sails through the air, Loretta Coffman and her Prep are a cute married pair, Britton enjoys single bites to this very day. But Carol, Jackie and Marilyn long ago passed away. Just recently another guy Was added to our Senior High; Yes, DuBois came back to agravate And maybe this year he ' ll graduate. The future as I said is not clear to me. Where they ' ll be years from now is still a mystery. But wherever they go, whatever they do May they always be happy and prosperous, too.
