CLASS of 1947 “ Today we follow; Tomorrow we lead” As we look back through the years, we see ourselves as green freshmen, just starting our journey through good ol ' G. H. S. To lead us through this difficult year we chose as our guides - - Roy Govert, Dick Loomis, Patty Sena, and Jeanne Schafer. As our officers, for our Sophomore year, we chose Jim Parsons, Don Wills, Mona Kerr, and Jeanne Schafer. With the introduction to high school over, we decided to settle down and get acquainted with our studies. (Who were we trying to kid?) Our Junior year brought many exciting events. Our officers were Warren Cox, Ervy Christenson, Marion Yoder, and Betty Vestal. Under their able guidance we planned our banquet and prom. The banquet was held at Teibel ' s and the prom at Danceland. Both were overwhelmingly successful- This, our last and most important year, brings us to the end of our journey with 84 members. Warren Cox again held the position as pres- ident of our class and did a wonderful job. The other officers were Mona Kerr, Brad Horvath, and Charles Norton. We would like to express our gratitude to our sponsors, who saw us through these most wonderful years. To our schoolmates we say farewell and extend the hope that they will carry on the traditions of Griffith High School. Page 10
