Twenty-eight ICIHSS Poem Against the pallid eastern sky, Where sinks the fiery morning star While purple shadows fade and die, There looms a goal that gleams afar. The lark's sweet note begins the tune, Accompanied by the sweet bluebell, Stop not on earth, but climb for aye- The chorus rings from out the dell, Across the lovely morning hush There sounds amidst the golden dawn, Yet echoed back by even the thrush, The charge to march forever on. The lark's sweet note begins the tune, Accompanied by the sweet bluebell, Stop not at allg march on and on- The chorus rings from out the dell. Then march and march forever on, Nor stop nor rest till you have fought To stand, when all the rest have gone, And claim for yours what most you sought- The lark's sweet note begins the tune, Accompanied by the sweet bluebell, You've won your spurs! now rest in peace-- The chorus rings from out the dell. Marvin McKneely
