With love, We dedicate the 1977 Pineneedle to Rebecca Brownlee 4 ,. K A E-, U the future can be defined as a series of moving targets, how has your Grier experience equipped your aim? At its best, a boarding school can't give you the answers to lufens puzzles, but it should help you sharpen your capacities for coping. Your system of values will probably be the most influential factor in determining how you make the many decisions that will confront you from here on out-in your careers, your marriages, and the ways you choose to seek happiness. And the class of 1977 as a whole comes closer to sharing the ideal values preached by schools like Grier than any other graduating class fve had the pleasure of knowing. Herein lies your greatest contribution to your school-we are a better place because of you. You have earned our deepest respect and appreciation-and our sincere wishes for every success as you meet with lQ e's many challenges and opportunities. Dr. Douglas A. Grier 6 1976- 77 has been one ofthe most productive and enjoyable years in recent Grier history, and we thank you, the graduating class, for your outstanding contribution in making it such a ine year. As leaders, you have helped to implement constructive changes at Grier, and as counselors, you have served the school with maturity and optimism. Our genuine confidence in your future success and happiness is based on the quality of your achievement here. Good luck to each of you.
