X fi ' x ffwd ii N M3 ,f , Vu xg!!! if it Class History We all appreciate and admire Irving Berlin's memorable songs. In the words of his everlasting melody, Remember? let us remember the class, the freshman class of 1939, remember? A small group of nine frightened young ladies was to compose the future senior class of 1943. Of these now members of the Senior Class, are Patty Bixler, June Rorke, and Debbie Sanford. Great plans were made of how they as friends would continue throughout four years at Grier, when at that time they would leave the school as alumnae. During the first quarter of the school year, a new girl arrived from Belgium. With her foreign accent and dazzling ways, Marie Jeanne Pasquier entered into the typical student's life at Grier. Today, she is one of the few left of the '39 Freshman Class. Remember the days of joy and strife, of laughter, remember? As sophomores, the class grew and was no longer included with the intermediate group. The new personalities which appeared there, were Patty Michaels, who proved her ability in dramatics with her one-line partg Chile Rodgers, who immediately entered with envied enthusiasm into all activities involving horsesg Sally Feuchtwanger, who convinced all who attempted to spell her surname that it was a possible task, Judy Brown, who related fantastic tales of a sword collection, Chris Rankins, the English novelist, and Rosa Warner, renowned for her piano playing.
