I, Debra Birk, will my basketball shoes to Teresa Book, hope they fit. I, Frank Birk, will my ability to keep from falling asleep in govern- ment class to David Schneider. You'll need it Dave. I, Iuanette Borkowski, will all the fun I've had at C-ridley to anybody who wants it. Have fun! I, Roy Dornes, will my ability to get along with Mr. Book to Rex Williams. Take it easy on him, Rex, and Mr, Book will be easier on you. I, Beverly Eccles, will my tallness to Rick Young. Take care Rick in going through doorways. I, Nancy Guisinger, will the Burlington Boys to the class of '74'. You already have a good start. I, Leland Kraft, will my little red devil to Mike Bahr. Keep him warm and he will stay healthy. I, Randy Kraft, will my cowboy boots to Richard Beyer. You never know when they will come in handy for something. I, Terry Kraft, will my can of firm grip to Mr. Birkbeck. Maybe he will be able to hold on to his chalk better next year. I, Roger Redding, will nothing because someone will get everythingl have anyway. I, Donna Somerhalder, will my great philosophical comments to ever haunt the halls of G.H. S, I, Lisa Strahm, will my postermaking jobs and all other art work to Sally Snovelle. It's better than studying. I, Bob Whitsitt, will my ability to crack funnies while the world is coming to an end to David Guisinger. I, Suzanne Williams, will my ability to grow a mustache before most of the boys do to Patricia Beyer. King George IV mustache wax works best. I, Vola Young, will my back seat in English to Paula Bahr. It comes in handy when you don't have your chemistry completed. Terry Kraft Salutatorian Tonight is the ending of twelve years of good fun and hard work. During these years we have been taught what the world outside is like, and we have learned how to cope with this world. During the past we have been restricted and now that we are out of school we have the freedom of choos- ing our own way of life. These past twelve years have been the most important years of our life because during these years we have gained the knowledge to use this freedom properly. Although we have come a long way, our life is really just beginning. We have a long way to go and our future is ahead of us. We are going out on our own, leaving our home and friends and gaining new friends. We will be going to college, getting a job, or getting married. Whatever we do we will always remember the people that made this possible, our parents, teachers, friends, and people in the community. To these people I would like to say Thank - you. Valedictorian Good evening, Ladies and Gentlemen, Tonight marks the end of our apprenticeship to life. So far, most of what we have learned has come from listening and following examples. From now on we will learn from doing and we will be setting the examples. During the last twelve years, we have learned a lot, but still we have a lot to learn. l'm sure that what we have already learned will enable us to acquire more knowledge. Tonight also ends the fun we've had at school, the thrills and disappointments at ball games, and all of the other school activities we've participated in. lt seems as though we are leaving everything be- hind, but not really. This ends just one stage of our life. Now we will be getting out on our own, meeting new friends as well as new responsibilities. We have suddenly changed from a child to an adult and we must be ready to face and cope with the problems we will encounter. I would now like to thank the parents, teachers, and all of the other people in the community that helped us when we needed it. Thank you. Mr. Randy Kraft W W S442 s Aww if , .. W ., Oh, Gridley High, The school we love, Oh, Gridley High we sing to you. Oh, Gold 8a Black, our colors true, Oh, Gold 85 Black of lustrous hue. God Bless that we, May ever see, Our way to loyalty to thee. We'll stand by you the whole way though. To G. H. S. we will be true. 1W'?5f' vf is xg ,mg Now this is not the end.
