Gridleyfs Pete Meiss and Clarence Ropp spearheaded the Redskins second half rally as each gained 10 points ATLANTA NUDGES GRIDLEY FIVE Atlanta downed us 3 points in a nonconference game on the victor's floor. Atlanta raced to a 19 13 point lead inthe lst period and increased the lead to 10 points in the 2nd period Atlanta lead all the way, going into the final quarter the Redskins decided to Dress The press worked almost to perfection as Atlanta lost good shots time after time and Gridley was breathing down the neck of the Redwings as the final buzzer sounded, We felt it was Just too bad we had such a tough game the might before with ElPaso UNDVWDOG GRIDLEY SURPRISES FAIRBURY WITH 58 S7 UPSET Gridley succeeded in knocking Fairbury from the unbeaten ranks 58-S7 on the Gridley floor. The Redskins opened in rapid fashion with a 15- 9 verdict in the first period. Fairbury rallied to cut the edge at the intermission but Gridley managed a 29-28 margin. The Tarters caught fire in the third quarter and moved into a bd-LS lead, only to have the Redskins counter and recapture the edge with two min- utes gone in the final stanza. The entire final six minutes were filled with stalling tactics by Gridley with Pete Meiss doing most of the ball handling.
