On the day of the celebra- tion rain came down in torrents. The badly spoiled and very fickle Queen caught a terrible cold, but was brave enough to go on anyway. The beauty who was to have been on the float got Wcold feetn so the younger daughter took her place, and upon seeing her in the costume the football hero fell in love with her. The old maid schoolteacher became engaged to a very rough and uncouth westerner. Miss Garrity directed the play. -25-
