TO THE STUDENT . . . Sit back in your easy chair, prop your feet on some convenient object, and as you turn the pages of this Mulzflzinotlg travel via the printed page back to the many events of the 1955-'56 school year at Gresham Union High School. Here in your hands is a book written for you, and in a sense, by you. Your activities, dreams, and personality helped write this book, it wouldnit have been the same without you. You live in a nation that is interested in the future of its young 'citizens, activating that concern with a beneficial system of education, consequently, September of l955 found you enrolled at CUHS., reluctant to leave the charms of summer but curious about what this year at school would hold for you. Now you wonder how nine months could have held so much and slipped by so swift- ly, as you gasped at the fleeting weeks and commented, ul just don't know where this month has gone! It helps so much . . . two football games at the Multnomah stadium where Gresham won and lost . . . tests, pop quizzes, term papers . . . dances with misty formals and cordu- roy pants . . . strange creatures roaming the halls during lettermen initiation week . . . your pounding heart as you ran into class a few moments late . . . basketball games that crowded your Tuesday and Friday nights . . . assemblies that filled the big auditorium with swelling cheers-and respectful silence . . . earnest conversations over the lunch table. Yes, you may remember these things and more as you browse through the pages of thisMunhinotu. And each time you do youill probably discover some little picture or commentary that you hadn't noticed before. 5 Tunis 3 QQ sf WE YELL to spur our team on to victory.
