After surviving initiation by the upper classmen, they elected their class officers: Douglas lrving, president, Duane Wolfe, vice-president, Janet Ambrose, secretary, Tommy Bird, sergeant-at-arms, Cheryl Bjur, girl council member, Shirly Johnson, Girls' League representative. The first activity of the year was the traditional cleaning of the trophy case. During the course of the year, President Douglas Irving was presented the District Basketball Tournament trophy by Bob Bernick. With the able assistance of Miss Stoeber, class advisor, the freshman party, The Carnival, was a huge success.
