ANNE MARX N COUGHENOUR Secretary NLEY ROS I Al-LE pfeslflenk ce-PresidenfR JUN lOR CLASS HISTORY The class of '49, newly clothed in the robe of upperclassmen and with ambition and enthusiasm, had a most successful year under the leadership of Al Coughenour, president, Stanley Roser, vice-president, Anne Marx, secretary, and Phil Luarca, sergeant-at-arms, with Elaine Roll, girl student council member, and Elaine Cham- bers, girls' league representative. As actors, they were unexcelled in their production of the comedy, We Shook the Family Tree, directed by Miss Machen. This year the Juniors were deprived of their opportunity to honor the basketball team with the basketball dance because of the team's participation in the State Basketball Tournament in Eugene. Highlighting the year of school social events was the Junior-Senior Prom. The class this year has been under the supervision of Mr. Ott, who replaced Miss Casterline during her leave of absence.
