KEITH PULLEN TMPNN President CARL05 TY EAS v- MONR BET SecreK2fY 'Ce'p'9SidentOE SENIOR HISTORY ln I944 we, the freshman class of Gresham Union High School, humbly entered these halls eager to learn, full of ambitious ideas, and respectful of our superiors. Our first privilege as students was to elect our class officers. They were as follows: President, Bob Bernick, vice-president, Byron Gardner, secretary, Clarice Fancher, Student Council members, Betty Harris and Bob Miller, Girls' League, Jean Wilson. Under the capable direction of our freshman class advisor, Mrs. Hiatt, our fresh- man party, which carried out the theme of the Trolley Song, was a great success. The year i945 found us full-fledged sophomores. Our officers were: President, Bob Nottingham, vice-president, Harold Sipe, secretary, Joan DeYoung, Student Council members, Bobby Jo Smithy and Dick Foreman, Girls' League, Helen Benda. During this year we lost Mrs. Hiatt as our advisor and Mrs. Bartholomew compe- tently took her place. Our main social event was the colorful St. Patrick's Day Party. The following year we were recognized as upper-classmen, with Miss Bartholo- mew as our advisor. Our officers this year were the following: President, Charles Robinson, vice-president, Bob Miller, secretary, Erma Gradin, Student Council mem- bers, Bob Nottingham and Donna Evans, Girls' League, June Holmes. Our Junior Class Play given in November was The Goose Hangs High, under the direction of Miss Machen. We sponsored the Basket Ball and the biggest social event of the season, the Junior-Senior Prom. The gym was decorated in pink and green with a large merry-go-round in the center. As high and mighty seniors we chose for our officers: President, Keith Pullen, vice-president, Carlos Monroe, secretary, Betty Eastman, Student Council members, Helen Benda and Bob Hafner, Girls' League, Mary Jo Stephens. I Our Senior Play, She Stoops to Conquer, was directed by Mrs. Lord. As each of us sets forth on our separate paths of life, we should like to thank our faculty and understanding advisors for the knowledge we have gained and the enioyment we have had during these last four years.
