It was on April '7 at the Presbyterian Church, There were two servings, one at 5:30 p.m. and the other at 7:00 p.m. The menu consisted of ham, scalloped potatoes, green beans, cole slaw, homemade cookies, ice cream, milk and coffee. There was a complete sellout for both servings and the meal was enjoyed by all. The girls served the dinner while the boys washed the dishes. Most of the food was donated by the parents of the Seniors. The mothers did a wonderful job of organizing and preparing the meaL Our deepest thanks to them. SENIOR DINNER sq x These mothers were present and served the Senior Dinner, which is an annual event, Mesdames Charles Cutrell, Loren Peavler, Arthur Worrick, F. D, Millspaugh, Elmer Lyons, Wm. Champ, Albert Olson, Charles Tinkle, Eldon Mc Creary, Byron Neff, Charles Cole, Renze DeRiter, Benson Farley, Owen Duckett ia sistery, Robert Emberton, Miss Maple Callon, and Mrs. Melvin Merriman. The Senior Dinner was held on May 24 in the high school SYITI. It was put on by the mothers of the Senior Class. Approximately 100 high school students attended. The menu consisted of ham sandwiches, baked beans, potato salad, cokes and decorated cakes with 56 on each piece in honor of the seniors. The dinner was climaxed by the issuing of the Senior Edition of the school paper.

PIGSKIN PROM Following the Homecoming Game September 30, in which Greenwood defeated Mooresville by a score ofl2 to 0, the Senior Class sponsored the annual Pigskin Prom in the High School gymnasium. At the upper left, guests are relaxing between dances. Refreshments were sold in the concession room at the dance. Upper right -- Peggy Merriman, Charlotte Cole, and Roberta Potts sell Mr. Hamer some cokes after Greenwood's victory. Preceding the game, the procession of the police, fire trucks, band, candidates for queen, and floats, which were entered by all classes, paraded through the downtown district. The float fat rightj entered by the Sophomore class was chosen as the winner of the contestby the three judges. At the dance, the candidates for queen were introduced by Coach Young, and the Queen was announced. She was Jean Cox, Sophomore candidate, being crowned at lower left by Co-Kings David Sheek and Robert Emberton. The other candidates were: Senior, Betty Worrickg Junior, Bonnie Farley, and Freshman, Carolee Haubry. The Queen and the Kings were chosen by the football team. 1e-1.1-.mm
