SUPERINTENDENT'S MESSAGE Graduates of 1956, we congratulate you on your achievements and we want you to know that we are proud to have you identified as graduates of our school system. Greenwood graduates for many years have gone into a wide variety of professions and occupations with a high degree of success and have become con- scientious, responsible citizens in the communities in which they reside. You are to be commended for your leadership, a c a d e mic success, worthwhile participation in activities in and out of school, and for the individual goals you have set for your future endeavors. Your yearbook, THE WOODMEN, is another fine achievement which we add with pride to our growing list of school publications. We will miss you, and the students who follow you here will have to strive greatly to measure up to your successes. Being associated with you has been pleasant and we are proud of this association. PRINCIPAIJS MESSAGE School days for most of us are happy, pleasant, and worthwhile days. This school year, now closing, was no exception. Last fall we started school with considerable tenseness and an- ticipation for so many of us were new to the school and unaccustomed to working with each other. lam happy that this strangeness and uncertainty soon melted into agreeableness and understanding. As a result, we have enjoyed a fine, profitable school year. This yearbook, on which you seniors and your sponsor have done such an outstanding job, puts to- gether in pictorial form the outstanding accomplish- ments of the school year 1955-56. All of these achievements could not have been reached without a spirit of cooperation on the part of all, and an honest desire to work together for the good of the entire school. This has made my job much easier, and for this, I want to thank each and every student, and every member of the faculty. May I take this opportunity to wish you seniors the very best of success and happiness as you take your leave of us. I have had the opportunity to work with you for only one year, but in that time I feel that I have come to know and appreciate you. If .your enthusiasm and zeal throughout this past year is any criteria of your future success, then I can see nothing but the best for each one of you. May good fortune be yours in everything you undertake is my sincere wish for you. DALE F. COOK 8
