H A .. 'x THE F.F.A. CHAPTER The Greenwood F.F.A. Chapter was organized in 1946. The number of members then was thirty-eight which was a very good start for the new chapter. The boys were under the supervision and leadership of Mr. D. L. Kennedy. They advanced far beyond their expectations in the improvement of africulture and the development of self-leadership. The Chapter in the Present '49' has really been progress- ing in its farm improvements. At the first of the year there was a Program of Work made out to take care of that year. The main factors under this Program of Work are: Supervised Farm- ing, Community Service, Cooperative Activities, Leadership, Earnings and Savings, Conduct of Meetings, Scholarship, Recrea- tion and General Activities. There is a special committee in charge of each main factor. These committees work very hard to reach the fulfillment of the Program of Work to their chapter rank in the 'An.class. There are many happy events to be worked out in the near future such as: The Father and Son Banquet, a number of hay- rides, a Weiner roast, a fish-fry and the State Convention. There will also be a Parlimentary Procedure and Public Speak- ing Contest. The chapter is now advised and directed by their new agriculture teacher, Mr. Crosby Crain.
