To the Class of 1972 You are entering a new and exciting period in lyour life. As you leave the ha lowed halls of your Greenwood Central School to enter the adult world of your post-graduate life, you are facing a most dif- ficult and trying world. There are many aspects of this world to which we adults look with pride and accomplishment. Conceming other aspects, we realize that our efforts have left something to be desired. It is hoped that you, as young adults, will also recognize our accomplishments and will build these to even greater heights. It is further oped by a l adults that those aspects of life which need im- proving, you will attempt to do somet ing about. We fer- vently hope that you will not feel the need to use the rash, destructive measures some peocple will tell you are nee ed. Our Republic re- quires the constant efforts of all its citizens, young and old, to modify it through legal channels, such that it remains a vital, healthy environment in which you may feel free to bring forth the offspring which will in their turn inherit the world your generation shall leave behind. May life be especially pleas- ant and satisfying to you as you make your way t rough the world which is your e- gacy. May God glrant that the wisdom which as accumu- lated within you during your elementary and high school life shall be sufficient to direct your path in life such that your Alma Mater will look with pride upon its graduates. Sincerely, Charles A. Wright I0
