Q , 4 V -1 .., V' 11 ,wffwiiwi Y- , CLASS HISTORY A group of bright-eyed little first graders trouped noisily into Mrs Murphey's room to begin a school career spanning the twelve most important years of their lives Of that original group these six remain Roger Harken rider, Patricia Higgins, Helen Kernan, Sharon Smith, Kathleen Lounsberry, and Donna Shirley Through the years, we have been Joined by the six others that complete our graduating class this year Clair Tracy Joined us in the sixth grade and Raymond Baker in the seventh with the able assistance of Mrs Sutton, uur homeroom advisor, we spent our Junior High days working toward our Eighth Grade diplomas and earning money toward our Senior Trip The day of our Eighth Grade Graduation arrived and passed, leaving us with the glorious realization that next year we would be Freshmen At the start of our Freshman year, we acquired, along with the new hats for our swelled heads, Irene Szymanski, and June Koehler We worked with our advisor, Mrs Nida, to fill our treasury with Senior Trip money we passed on to the Tenth Grade and adopted Ellen Sheehan and lost Genevieve Soble to Hornell High raising activities we took over the refreshment concession at the basket ball games, a skating party, sold refreshments at the Field Day, and spon sored two dances The high point of our Junior Year came on May 28, when we played host to the Senior Class at the Junior Senior Banquet Our Senior Year started with a blast namely our magazine campaign, which provided the final push to send our treasury over the top At the School Fair, our concession, the Fish Pond, won First Prize as the Best Decorated In December, we sponsored the first Record Hop after a home ball game At five o'clock on a clear, spring morning, we departed in a cloud of dust for Washington, D C on our Senior Trip at last. Your attitudes toward the school, faculty, and the administration have been commendable, in general.
