The Terrace Times was again organized this year in hopes of producing a better, more interesting school newspaper. As our leader, we chose Phyllis Plank who has the task of managing editor. The other members of our staff are: News Editor, David Frankg Sports Editor, Arnold Shermang Feature Editors, Jeanne Cornell, Sarajean Lippert and Beverl Reimanng Business Department, Shirley Cafferyg Junior News Editor, William Petteysg News Collector, Lyla Baker and Kathleen Greeneg Advisor, Mr. Lowrey. Our prize possession is a letter from our principal, Mr. Frank, concerning the Christmas edition, stating that it was the best paper he had seen in a long time. Ye are going to try harder and see if we can produce an even more outstanding newspaper soon. Our 1953 edition contains three pages of student snapshots. The Yearbook Staff and the Photography Club jointly are the proud possesaors of a splendid camera. The Photography Club has sponsored a contest and the best snapshots are pictured in this year's Yearbook. It is with regret that we bid adieu to three Seniors who have been on the staff all their high school ca- reers. Patricia Johnson, who is editor of this year's annual, has also been active as secretary, chairman of the photography committee and helped on the advertising committee. Shirley Caffery has been chairman of the assembly committee for the longest time in the history of the Triple Terrace. On Kathleen O'Brien's shoulders for the past few years has rested the responsibility of making the annual a financial success. She has been chairman of the advertising committee. Another Senior, Phyllis Plank, has been with us three years. She has been active as chairman of the write-up committee and as a member of the advertising com- mittee. We are all looking forward to commencement to find out who won the Staff Member Honor Award. This is the first time we have given the Columbia Scholastic Press Association medal.
