The citizens of Greenwood were treated to a peppy Minstrel Show, the first in many years on November 12th. The end men kept people laughing while the chorus kept them clapping February 25th we journeyed to the Bath Veterans Hospital to sing for the disabled men of many wars. Mrs. Matthews was our accompanist this year. At the monthly Teachers Association Meeting, the faculty picks a student of the month , if they think there is a deserving student that month. The purpose of this award is to encourage qualities which the teachers believe will make good citizens for our community and country. This award has nothing to do with scholastic achievement. The most com- mon charactcristics which we have found in the above students have been cooperation, trust, willingness to try, sportsmanship, responsibility and dependability. Our other big activities were the Spring Concert and Festival. This .year two new instruments have been added to the band a bass horn and a tenor sax. . Our first appearance was at a P.T.A. meeting in October. A special pep band supplied music for basket- ball 'lilo Continuing our policy of exchange programs, we played at Seto and Troupsburg. April 22 was a big day as we played for the entertainment of the veterans at Bath.
