But never stop growing! l Perhaps there should be a point in our working lives where wd feel our contributions have been such tha we are entitled to take it easy from that point on. Maybe there should be, but I doubt if it happens very often before retirement. The minute you start t relax on the oars, you begin to lose your value. Someone else, with more drive and ambition, could step i and do a better job in your place. , l Let's face it - what you accomplished yesterday is water over the dam. More important now is what yo can do today and tomorrow. When the things you did yester ay and last year are more important tha your ambitions for tomorrow and next year, it's time to let omeone else take over. This may seem like a hard, unfeeling way to look at things - but isn't it the truth? No success in final l One of the tragedies of the working world is the number of people, at all levels, who have mentally retired. They are resting on their laurels - just along for the rikle. They aren't looking for new challenge not interested in doing things better. 5 no success can last forever. 1 Like anyone who coasts, there's only one place for them to gol - downhill.
