At this particular point in your lives, there is little doubt but what your thoughts are primarily occupied with recollections of the pleasures, achievements and disappoint- ments of the past 13 years and with the current decisions that must now be made. There must be personal satisfaction in the realization that the task has been completed and that it was a job worth doing, but it is unwise to retire your ambition on such limited consolation and achieve- ment for with every tick of the clock the future is at hand and your thoughts and actions mustbe geared to accept the opportunities and meet the challenges that arrive with every second, minute, hour, day, month and year. It is a marvelous incentive to have the future with its golden opportunities always so very close at hand and do you not have a wonderful feeling of accomplishment in knowing that with your high school education you have done much to prepare for that future. It would be unwise of me not to advise you to accept as motivation for further achievement the op- portunities and challenges of this future which is everywhere about us. In your endeavors, I wish you every success. Sincerely, Nik ,L X533 X Q ' ' ' Q 5 fs . ffl' ? i 1 3 9 1 i Q' x -'f5f 1W-'.:,-fl. la 5 ,. ' I W A if ff mens A 'Wf1W??fvv -, , I . g .. S. Mrs. Weaver and Mrs. Filion were our class advisors, We elected William Grey as President, Mary Ann Scully, Vice President, Peggy Morrissey, Secretary, and Larry Cox, Treasurer, Marlene Perkins and Peter Filion represented us on Student Council. Elaine Bryant and Lars Fjeld were chosen as Athletic Council representatives. The big event of the year was the Freshman Fiesta. Decorations were colorful displays from South of the border. The dance was held on April 24 with music for round and square dancing, provided by the Keynotes. More informed of the do's and don't of high school, we re- turned the following fall as Sophisticated sophomores. To lead our group, we elected the following of- ficers: President, William Greyg Vice President, Mary Ann Scully, Secretary, Peggy Morrisseyg Treasurer, Larry Cox, Marlene Perkins and Peter Filion represented us on the'Student Council and Jean Keith and Richard McCormick represented us on the Athletic Council. Mrs. Hughes and Mr. Welling were our Class advisors. This year our treasury was expanded by the Harvest l-lop, with decorations of an autumn har- vest. The Keynotes again supplied the music for round and square dancing. As Juniors, our careers as upperclassmen had begun. Class Officers were: President, LeRoy Deckerg Vice President, Ian Bookstieng Secretary, Peggy Morrissey, and Treasurer, Larry Cox. Our advisors were Mrs. Filion and Mr, Parker. We were represented on the Student Council by Peter Filion and Mary Ann Scully and on the Athletic Council by Jean Keith and Richard McCormick. One exciting day was the day we ordered our class rings, but even more exciting was November 18, the day they arrived. One of the big projects of the year was the publication of the annual, Mary Ann Scully was chosen Editor, and with lots of help from all the members of the class, produced a financially and artistically successful yearbook, Other activities to raise additional funds were the selling of stockings and socks, social hours, and a food sale. We come to the luxurious home of Joan Villa and Jean Keith who are sunning them selves in their leopard-skin bathing suits, dreaming of those glamorous prosperous high school days. Tom McLean, the gardener, doesn't seem to get very much work done. And what's this coming? Why it's Peggy Morrissey speeding along on her home- built po-go stick. Trailing along is Marilyn Mullen with her pet dinosaur on a green leash, We would like to stay and see more of this amazing place, but we must depart to go our separate ways, wondering whether this has really happened or we have had a nightmare.
