The larger part of the economy of Palma is based on the tourist trade but we found the shopping and entertainment very inexpensive. The mild but invigoratingclimate and beautiful seenerv have combined to make the spot a fa- vorite haven for writers, painters, and composers of all nations who require quiet and seclusion for their P work, and for tourists the world over who want to forget - the bustle and care of the everyday world.
