i 2? I af N4 'is ati? - ff xr 4Above, left and rightj Most visiting ships to Muscat are invited to paint the name of said ship on the rock cliffs surrounding the Harbor. Dates are included. Some dates are in the 19th century. At Muscat, we saw a whale shark. They are not often seen, being deep-sea fish. The Museum of Natural History has records of a whale shark 70 feet long. Huffer, SN, tried to paint the ship's name on the cliffs, but some- one pushed him, he claims. The Sultan of Muscat calls these cliffs his Visitors' Book .
