Participation in athletics is not considered in making these awards since the excellence in this department is rewarded by o sweater Each one has shown initiative, loyalty, and cz spirit of co-operation in his two years at Itasca. Queen Nancy Nelson and her attendants, Dorothy Fa- lancer and Ruby Campbell, held the spotlight on the night of the Bachelor Home- coming Dance which was held after the Duluth-It-asca game. Petite Nancy was choosen queen by the entire student body in a contest sponsored by the Bachelors, with red-haired Dorothy, and tall blond Ruby taking sec- and and third place respec- tively. To Mr. Dudley, our speech instruc- tor, who led both the high school and college debate teams to victory, we give this honor of being listed in our Who's Who. George Prazich was given the Heller Award offered by Mr. S. E. Heller of Grand Rapids to the most deserving student on the basis of scholarship, extra-curricular activities, and all around good sportsmanship. As champion in the meal planning division of 4-H work, Evelyn Seeling was presented an award at the annual Activity Banquet held at Grand Rap- ids. Evelyn was also chosen as one of the county's best 4-H leaders last year. I-37
