Wil- lard is also the possessor of ana other honor, that of winning the Roxy Award offered by Sim Heller of Grand Rapids, which was given to the most deserving student on the basis of scholar- ship. Wilkens fnot picturedi The Student Council of the Junior College represents both the Freshman and Sophomore classes, the various social clubs, and also other ac- tivities. It aims to harmonize their diverse opinions, and create a more constructive influence within the college. The Council is composed of the class officers, and the presidents of the following clubs and organizations: Itasca Players, Iota Kappa Kappa, Rho Nu Rho, Iota Beta Gamma, The Itas- can, and the Pep Club. Of this group, Tanny Hop- finger was choosen to be President, George Prazich, V ice-President, and Leone Larson, Secretary- Treasurer. The Council stands behind all activities, and tries to give practical and useful service to the college. Catherine Hopfinger will be remembered by her friends not only as the Salutatorian of the class of '40, but also as the girl with the feather who captured the coveted office of National Student Representative of the Phi Rho Pi for the year '39-'40 at the National Speech Tournament at Eveleth.
