The Junior Class Play, “Our Town. centered around small town life in the 1800's. Action revolved about Emily Webb's life in Grovers Corners. In death, Emily realized that she had over- aoo i-»i a v o looked the significance of everyday life. Main characters in- ... CLASS PLAYS eluded Doris Rodgers. Dave Bly, Mike Bongar. Leslie Stitt. Brenda Dawes. Charley Salkin, Bruce Bovard, Darcy Lauffer. and Dave Perrotti. The seniors' presentation of The Diary of Anne Frank was moving and memorable. Anne, along with several other Jews, spent two years in an attic hiding from the Nazis. Despite all their precautions, they were unfortunately discovered and taken to concentration camps. The cast included Leslie Stitt. Bruce Bovard, Charley Salkin. Brenda Dawes. Dixie Patterson, Jay Yas-gur. Doris Rodgers. Mike Bongar. Dave Bly. and Kathy McElree. Our special guest star! 15

Jay Yasgur MAGAZINE SALE TEAM CAPTAINS: ROW ONE Stephena Harmony. Randy Painter. Kathy Ritter. Sue Dale ROW TWO: Charley Salkin, General Chairman: Betsy Guffey. Co-Chairman. TOP MAGAZINE SALESMEN ROW ONE: Barb Fagley. Chad Sankey ROW TWO: Vickie Stepanic. Mary Alice Beaver. Randy Painter. Scott Carpenter. George Wasser As juniors, the Class of '71 became involved in the annual candy sale. Their theme consisted of the twelve signs of the zodiac. Class members were assigned to teams according to their birthdates. The overall goal was 5,000 boxes, with the individual goal being 24. The winning team was the Leos, headed by Doris Rodgers. The following year the seniors tackled the magazine sale. Inspired by their unusual theme, the Wacky Races, the mighty Class of ’71 surpassed their goal of $5,500. Kathy Ritter led the winning team, the Slag Brothers.
