Brenda Dawes. Charley Salkin, Bruce Bovard, Darcy Lauffer. and Dave Perrotti. The seniors' presentation of The Diary of Anne Frank was moving and memorable. Anne, along with several other Jews, spent two years in an attic hiding from the Nazis. Despite all their precautions, they were unfortunately discovered and taken to concentration camps. George Wasser As juniors, the Class of '71 became involved in the annual candy sale. Their theme consisted of the twelve signs of the zodiac. Class members were assigned to teams according to their birthdates. The overall goal was 5,000 boxes, with the individual goal being 24. The winning team was the Leos, headed by Doris Rodgers. The following year the seniors tackled the magazine sale. Inspired by their unusual theme, the Wacky Races, the mighty Class of ’71 surpassed their goal of $5,500. Kathy Ritter led the winning team, the Slag Brothers.
