CLASS PROPHECY After ten years of happy living on the moon, I decided to return to the earth, and pay a visit to all my old classmates. Eugene Thigpen and Norman Bush, of course, I can't visit, because after constructing the first passenger rocket they went to Mars, and after taking a goggle at the two identical-twin queens they both refused to return to earth. I caught the first rocket to Los Angeles, California, and arrived after a long trip of only two minutes. The first person I happened to see there was Velinda Andrews, who has now taken Debbie Reynold's place in the movies. She told me that her old friend, Cecilia O'Steen, was now doing the commercials on Jack Bailey’s Queen For a Day. Both Cecilia and Velinda are engaged. Their prospective husbands are David and Ricky Nelson. Also I happened to see Ida Jane and Tommy Cone. Tommy has the lead part in a new western, Lost Space Gun Can't Travel. They have two beautiful daughters. After my visit in California, I returned to my old home town of Greenville. Here I saw Lavonne Ham- rick Bishop, who has four darling little boys, and Betty McGuire Kinsey who has two little girls. Both seemed to be very happy. I asked Betty about the Blanton boys, Irving Bailey, and Paul Braswell. She told me that all four of them were working in the Florida Farms Commission Office, trying to get a better deal for the farmers, especially since they have outer space competition. Annie Pearl Hall and Bessie McDaniel both nurses at Charity Hospital now. Our own Ann Miller is now Commanding General of the Ladies Air Force Base in Moulton, Moon, my current hometown. Sonny Shackleford is now the best-dressed Governor of Florida and Speedy Reams is his secretary. Sonny is especially pleased since he got the new law that a man could have ten wives passed. Mary Barclay and W. T. are now living in their new mansion that her father-in-law gave them. Of course, we can't leave Bobby Wilkins out. You'll certainly be surprised at his success. He won the Na- tional Genius Award, and has replaced Albert Einstein, as our greatest scientist. Georgia is very proud of Darrow Hutto, especially since he has become Solar System Champ. They now have two children, a boy and a girl. Paul Wells and Thomas Barclay have gone to New York to work for Steve Allen. Paul has replaced Shaky and Thomas has replaced the man who can't remember his name. If you're wondering about me, well I am the personal psychiatrist to the President of the Moon, Win- ston Johnson, and his private secretary, Josephine Benton. I certainly am having a time with those two, they have complexes, in fact, they think they're green. That's a thought. It's time for their next treatment, so I guess I'd better go home. Anyway, the President of the United States, Eugene Barclay, and the Secretary of War, Ouida Blanton, might think I was a spy, so goodbye and I'll see you on the MOON. - 24 -
