Remember the first time we claimed GHS as ours - the first chance we had to prove our loyalty to her- how proud we were to stand up for her? Yes, GHS has given us many of the happiest and long to be remembered days of our lives. There we are taught to fill in life a place, There learn to do, to dare, to run the race. Remember the fun we had at pep-meetings, ball games, parties - how we slaved over our essays, stayed up late to get our parallel in on time, complained about our homework, but really deep down enioyed it-the excitement of elections, the anxiousness of each student to see HIGH NEWS on Friday, the unrelenting tension that builds up in awaiting the NAUTILUS, and finally commencement? Though we may wander far, whate'er our lot, we'll ever keep the lessons you have taught. And the friendships that have been ours will remain with us the sweetest memories of our high school days. As we stand for the last time to sing our Alma Mater with mingled joy and sadness, Our hearts will turn to thee in tenderness, And pray God bless you, dear old GHS. Using the school song as a theme, the Nautilus staff has tried to preserve for you the year filled with people who studied and played and would do it again at the school on the hill.
