The Raiders were in top form as they downed the Easley High Green Waves by a margin of 34 to I3 in the season's opener. Olympia High of Columbia came to Greenville the next Friday to carry a 36 to 28 victory home. Greenville then packed her grips and left for Anderson. The weather was wet and Greenville barely nosed the Yellow Jackets by a slim score of 20 to 19. out The Gaffney Indians were the next visitors. The Dynamos, who could not get enough electricity, found themselves on the tail end of a 7 to 12 defeat handed them ' ' This time to the state capitol to by the Indians. Greenville again went traveling. meet Columbia. To the Raiders' regret the score was 0 to 6. RICHARD QUINN BLACKIE COOK RICHARD TURNER Back Back Back Old man weather interfered again, this time postponing the game with Blue Ridge School for Boys from Hendersonville, N. C., to the next night. Creenville went up and down th fi ld b e e ut could not cross the goal but once and was again on the short end of a 6 to 14 score. Asheville came to get revenge from the year before by getting pay dirt three times to our one-6 to 19. By this time Greenville was fed up with losing Trax elin h . ' g to t e Hub City of Spartanburg, the Red Raiders stopped the train 7 to 6 Then the Dynamo ll . rea y started to generate electricity and turned back the Charleston Bantams 13 to 7. The team and coaches really slaved the next week-turkey day was coming. This meant the game with Parker-the final game of the season. The stands were packed, everyone Was sitting on edge. From the opening kickoff to the final Whistle, it was a thriller-diller. The Tornadois line averaged two hund d re pounds and could not move fast enough to catch Creenville's Heet-footed backs. Both teams were in each other's back yards' both scored twice with C , , reenville making the two extra points to end with a 14 to 12 final score.
