Highakicking and dancing throughout the year, the Flaming Flashes entertained everyone halftime at football games, pep rallies, parades. and the Band and Flash Floor Show. The Flash officers attended camp at the University of Texas at Arlington, and the entire corp went to Cisco Junior College for training. At the camps the Flashes learned new routines and competed with other drill teams for honors. Football season meant performing routines in the stands for pep rallies and either a highkick or a dance routine for the halftime entertainment. The Flashes decorated the football boys' chairs for good luck at a few pep rallies. Immediately after football season was over, the Flashes began working on the Floor Show. The theme this year was Little Bit of Country, Little Bit of Rock and Roll. Besides le 'ning new dances, they, along with the ba. l, had to make two huge backdrops to cover both sides of the gym. Mrs. Pam Clayton was the F1ash's sponsor.
