SENIOR HISTORY, CONT. welcoming them in. So a party it was! We picked up one new student during our Sopho- more year, who just happened to be Charles Pew. That year we staged the annual Sopho- more Hop which turned out a success. The theme for our Hop was Springtime. We finally became Juniors and took in three new students which completed the graduation class of 1952. They were Harold Cooper, Wayne Dietrich and Glenn Swindlehurst. During that year we staged the annual Junior Ptom which also turned out to be a success The theme for our prom was the Mardi Gras. A Junior girl, Betty Vick, was elected basket- ball queen. At the end of the year, we started the first of the annual Junior-Senior Ban- quets, held in honor of the graduating seniors. After the long struggle, we were finally Seniors--time to start ordering announcements and cards, pictures and caps and gowns. We had fun at our Big Wheel day, when all of the Seniors dressed formally to go to dinner. But now the time has finally come for Baccalaureate Services and Commencement Exer- cises. The time has dome for us Seniors to leave GHS,and go our respective ways in life.
