Marching Band is Number One The Marching Band of 140 people got their knees up high this year and marched all over. The band went to The University of Michigan Band Day and marched at Cedar Springs' Marching Festival. At the Cedar Springs Festival they received a first rating. They also have participated in the Danish Festival Parade, the 4-H Parade and the Labor Day Parade. They presented two concerts and traveled to Muskegon for Distric Competition where they received a I rating. They also competed at the State level later in the Spring. Playing the bass clarinets are Kathy Stewart and Debbie Aylsworth. Practicing are Tom Taylor, Rob Steele, Dennis Alles, Chris Hansen, Mike Dolick, Jerry Troyer and Rod Fuller. 173
