Superintendent of Schools Robert W. Duncan Robert W. Duncan has 'served in the capacity of Superintendent of Greenville Public Schools since 1951. He is a graduate of Ohio State University Where he received his Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts degrees. The superintendent of schools has many responsi- bilities including finance, school organization, cur- riculum development, pupil transportation, school construction, lunchroom management, and public re- lations. Before coming to Greenville, Mr. Duncan filled the position of elementary school principal, high school teacher, high school principal, and superintendent of schools at West Milton, Ohio. He has been connected with the teaching field for 24 years. High School Principal Garland W. Kemper Garland W. Kemper has served as principal of G.H.S. for the past four years. He was graduated from Western Kentucky State Teachers' College with a Bachelor of Arts degree. He has also received a Master of Arts degree in Education from the Univer- sity of Kentucky. Previous to his position as prin- cipal of Greenville High School, he served as prin- cipal at Ludlow, Kentucky, and Cynthiana, Ken- tucky. Mr. Kemper has been engaged in the teaching profession for 23 years. Some of his duties include administrative and supervisory functions of all teachers, students, and non-teaching personnel. Dean of Girls Kathryn Griner, as Dean of Girls, teaches freshman orientation, keeps the girls' daily attendance records, and assists in high school schedule making. She is also advisor on the Student Council and a member of the Principal's Advisory Council. Mrs. Griner was graduated from Bowling Green State University with a degree of Bachelor of Science in Education which carried with it majors in English, history, and foreign languages. She has also attained a Master of Arts degree in French from the University of Michigan. Dean of Boys ln the capacity as Dean of Boys, James Holzapfel conducts freshman orien- tation, aids in scheduling, and records the boys' daily attendance. His other duties include Student Council Advisor, and a member of the Principalis Advisory Council. Mr. Holzapfel was graduated with a degree of Bachelor of Science in Education from Miami University. Page 19
