The Class of 1957 The senior class of 1957 elected Mike Christian, president, Bob Oehrtman, vice president, Sandra jenkinson, secretary, Ted Nealeigh, treasurer, and Sally McVay, reporter. In the senior magazine sale, the class broke all sales records. The magazine sales provide money for publishing THE CHIEF. Mrs. Kathryn Griner acted as head sponsor for the class of 1957. As juniors, the class chose Larry Franklin as its president. Miss Catharine Boyer acted as class sponsor for the junior class. Riddle Me Riches, a three- act comedy, was the junior play. Miss Patricia DeHayes directed the two-night sellout. The juniors planned Fantasyland, the junior-senior prom. As jun- iors, the class ordered and received their class rings. Alohal' was the title of the sophomore class dinner-dance. Class president was joe Hufnagle and Miss Ethel Hathaway was head sponsor. In September of 1953, the class of 1957 began its high school career. As freshmen, the class party was named Buttons and Bows and Mrs. Leah Huston served as head class sponsor. Joe Hufnagle acted as freshman class president. After your years, the class of 1957 leaves Greenville High School with many memories. These years will be remembered for the education we received and for the friendships we have made. Page Twenty-eight
