LOALH BEN COLE COACH JIM EBY COACH TUNY DHROCKO G H. S. Football Coaches Coach James Eby, a 1943 graduate of Otterbein, came to Greenville High in 1952, succeeding Paul Dellerba as head football coach. After graduating from Gtterbein in 1943, Coach Eby became a Navy pilot. In 1946 he was discharged from the Navy and became head football coach at Trotwood Madistvn where he stayed until he came to Greenville. Coach Ben Cole, a graduate of Miami University and a member of Miami's varsity basketball squad, came to G. H. S. in 1952 succeeding Jack Raudabaugh as head basketball coach. After graduating from Miami in 1947 Mr. Cole spent two years in the Marines. He was discharged in 1949 and became head basketball coach at Miltoii Union where he coach- ed until he came to Greenville. ln addition to his duties as basketball coach Mr. Cole serves as assistant football coach, tennis coach, assistant track coach, gym instructor, and public health instructor. Coach Tony Derocko graduated from Wittenberg College in 1952. At Witteiiberg he was an outstanding player on the gridiron. In his senior year at Wittenberg be was voted by his team mates the most valuable player of the year. After graduating from college he accepted his first coaching job at Butler Township School where he coaches junior high basketball and track. Although Mr. Derocko was not a member of the Greenville High School faculty he spent many hours helping coach the G. H. S. varsity football team. Page Twenty-Seven
