OTTMAN, Sponsor The Sociedad Castellana had its annual party in I eIJruary. This social function was very Spanish, exotic dishes ot' Spanish-speaking countries lacing served, and native songs ol' thes nations sung hy the participants. The program was varied by popular songs hv the quitar duo, Maurice Gordon and Clarence Young, and by danc- ing and prize contestants. The Sociedad Castcllana was organized in 1918 and has been in continuous opera- tion since that year. Its purposes are to study the life, literature, and songs ol' the countries of the Spanish language, and to Iurnish a social medium for the students ol' Spanish. One ol' its cherished traditions is Once a melnhcr, always a member. Its al. mni are welcome to all its meetings and social atlairs, STUDENT ROUND TABLE MR. XVAHNER, Sponsor MR. PALMER, Sponsor The Student Hound Tahlc, organized in the fall ol' 1934, originally consisted of the live cheerleaders, who selected two additional members from each class, who, in turn, selected one member from each club. This organization was founded with the intention of improving the spirit of Greenville High School. At the meetings nulnerous ways ol' bettering our school were discussed. During the year, its members have presented several novel pep- meetings. The chicl' activity ol' the group was to get under way a campus land- scaping project which will materialize in the near future. Ninety-seven
