She went out and after one of the hest lights she ever put up, won the game 24-0. XVe were at our zenith in power dur- ing that game, and 'twas said to he the hest played game on our gridiron. Glwrlz-z'17ff' af Jlzizflzzkblzzjg The squad journeyed to Nliamisburg with the full intent of giving her a good trouneing. In fact enthusiasm was so high that some fellows started out to walk to the game. Everyone thought it would be an easy victory, but in reality it was far from that, as they were at home and in their lighting clothes it sure looked blue for us. XVe had lost our pep hut regained it in a measure and tied the score, so that we emerged from that catastrophe with a 6-6 score. Although their squad 0......e.gi.ea ours we had the edge on them in training and when the final whistle blew, the score stood: Greenville 9-Gettysburg 7. Gr.f.'11i'17A' .lf .Yz'lIlil XVhen Greenville journeyed to Xenia it seemed to he a good day for us. Our squad was in good shape, and the dope indicated that we should heat them if we had good luck. VVe seemed to he off color or something and didn't get going right, so the result was, the only defeat of our football season, Xenia won 12-ll. G1'.'.v1i'17Af .If I 'ef-..'.1z7A1.' Greenville made the trip to Versailles with grim determina- tion to redeem herself of a defeat of the week hefore, and did it with- out much trouhle. In fact the whole second team was sent in for ahout half of the game and the result was a 56-ll victory for Greenville. Cf1'i'Nl'1'lyfF .lf ll Quiz' -M'.wmfr1Lz A trip was made hy the squad to our neighhoring town of YVest Alexandria. Everyone was confident of winning the game, hut for a while it did not look so good for us, as they held us to a tie for about one quarter. They could not hold us always. Finally we gained our stride and literally walked over them to a victory of lfl-6. Trail' 111' G1'.'.'11-1'f7A' Troy came to Greenville with the expectation of repeating its former acts of trouncing G. H S. in foothall, hut we did not feel that way. The result was as hard a battle as was fought on our grid- iron for years. If we could have had our regular squad things would have been different, hut as it was, hy a play of our fullback in the first part of the game, a pass, Batten to Tillman, who ran about 40 yards to a touch down, put us in a winning position. Fight as they would we held them to one touchdown and they missed the try at- goal. The result wasi Gree.nville 7-Troy 6. Glwff-t'1'fff' .If Piqua Greenville journeyed to Piqua to again go against football traditions as she was determined to give Piqua a good trouncing. We were not disappointed because after a hard battle Greenville emerged with victory in her holds. VVhen the game ended we were on top 13-6. Bnzfffbnz' af G1'f611't'z'!fe Bradford came to Greenville to break our winning streak as each team hoped to do, but she was doomed to defeat. ln fact the game was so lax that we ran our second team in for about half of the game and although they did not score, they held their opponents. The game ended 20-ll in our favogri
