Soft lights and dreamy tunes captured the hearts of the Juniors and their guests as they danced to the music of Gordon Jones on the night of the Silhouette Prom on lklay 16, 1947. The Big Event of the evening was at eleven olclock when the Grand lkflarch, led by the four class oflicers, began. Teddy Hunt, as master of ceremonies, requested the queen's attendants to go to their places on the throne. Then the king and queen were escorted up to the throne by the leaders. VValter Ingalls was crowned King, with Charles Kohrs runner-up, and Shirley Burnett crowned queen, with Burnette lWcKenna runner-up. Judy Howard was crown bearer, esco1'ted by Jimmy Kiley. After the coronation, the king and queen led the next dance to the melodious notes of Two Silhouettes, followed by the 1'LlIlI1Cl'S-Up, with the guests all joining in. Another event of the evening was the presentation on stage of a sterling silver bracelet by Burnette lNIcKenna to lN'Iarie D. Cully, Junior class advisor, as a token of appreciation for all she had done. Then, as the night ended, the event went to its chosen place in each and every one of our hearts and as a wonderful success and a night to be remembered forever.
