HOMECOMING The most awaited event of a schools football season is Homecoming week and ours was no exception. Promoting school spirit was everyone’s goal. The combined efforts of the SCA, the cheerleaders, and the support of the entire student body led to an exciting and energizing Homecoming. Monday started off Homecoming week with “Beat Street and Breaking Day”, when students came dressed as members of break dancing crews from all over the country. Tuesday was a success as the SCA hosted “Michael Jackson, Prince and Boy George Day.” This required the students to dress up as their favorite entertainer choosing from the three. Wednes¬ day the Homecoming Parade proceeded down Main Street with clubs and organizations from the high school represent- Flower bearers: Danielle Povar and Alexa Dickerson Joey Simms representing yearbook staff in the parade. ed in many magnificent floats. After the Parade our school bonfire was held with everyone gathered around the fire to get pepped up for the rest of the week. Thursday was “Fifties Day” and students came dressed in letterman sweaters and saddle oxfords. Friday Homecoming day was a big day as green and gold was worn to show school spirit. The Home¬ coming game against Randolph Henry on Friday night was a disappointing loss for Eagle fans. Even though the Eagles lost, a very attractive young lady emerged victoriously, Lisa Harvell was selected by the student body to reign as Home¬ coming Queen. The dance after the game ended the high spirited week of Homecoming. David St. Sing punts the ball. Pamela Chandler senior attendant escorted by Rodney Moody. 8 Homecoming
