FUUTBALL lllilllll In 1947 football was introduced to Greensburg sport fans. With one year of experience behind them the boys finished this season with six victories and two defeats. In the S.C.C,, three victories and two defeats gave G.H.S. a third place Conference standing. The total number of points scored by G.H.S. was 147 as compared to 91 by their opponents. Since the new football field was in the development and construction state, all home games were played at Columbus. Fans who could not jour- ney to Columbus were able to listen to the games on the radio The football field howevei is located south of town on S. Monfort street and will be used this coming school year. The eight seniors completing their last season of football are: Richard Gardner, Frank Manus, Carl Overpeck, John Moeller, Mack Fultz, Jack Williams, Jim Van- derbur, and Charles Smith.
